Sales Supervisor - Edinburgh

Brief Outline

The role of the Sales Supervisor is to head a team of telesales consultants. The Supervisor will lead the team to consistently over achieve set business targets through role model behaviours, demonstration, group/individual coaching and continuous balanced challenge and support while managing their own personal sales targets.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to their direct sales responsibilities the role holder will be required to, but not exclusively;

  • Motivate & coach the team and individuals to exceed against the set daily/weekly/monthly business KPI’s
  • Monitor & track the individual and team performance against the set daily/weekly/monthly business KPI’s; ensuring that direct ownership for these numbers are maintained by individuals
  • Undertake structured training of consultants using a variety of techniques and methods including, but not limited to, side-by-side, recorded reviewing, remote listening, time in motion, behavioural analysis, gap analysis
  • Monitor sales calls through real time observations and provide in-depth one on one coaching, training and follow-up sessions to optimize sales
  • Ensure all training is documented and volumes meet set business KPI’s
  • Ensure the company strategies for the department are delivered within their team
  • Instilling a strong belief and passion in the brand and products to the Sales Agents to encourage confidence in what they are selling through sharing of best practice
  • Conduct scheduled monthly performance reviews with team members to improve performance
  • Hold planned daily team briefs to set goals and deliver any business information as required
  • Ensure professional standards and company standards are met and maintained by all within team at all times
  • Report to Sales Manager on individuals’ performance to ensure that company performance management is followed at all times
  • Submit weekly diary plan to Sales Manager detailing individual planned training and coaching


Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to deliver structured coaching, feedback and follow up through GROW and gap analysis
  • Ability to develop a sales team to deliver profitable results through a vision and the accompanying goals and targets for each individual of the team
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Highly numerate - commercially orientated regarding targets, KPIs and conversion rates
  • Highly effective and positive in an environment of high pressure and continuous change
  • Possess the eye for detail in the pursuit of excellence


Experience

  • Excellent selling skills & knowledge throughout the entire sales process
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills to deal with client queries and issues in a successful manner - every time
  • Proven successful ability to work on their own and as a team player
  • Previous experience of working well with others, earning the respect from your team members and getting the best results and outcomes from them
